This is a very raw set for a generell layout of a booth. The customer was not sure if he want do it and not sure if he want invest in a booth over all. I was asked to make a quick sketch for a possible layout that maybe would be calculated and done. We agreed that i made it with a 10 hours-paid limit and here it is.

The customer had only got me a view raw measurements of the ground size where of the possible booth would be realizied. All i was know about him was that he is a carpenter with specializiaton on customer wishes. So i started and dont made any realy detailed things for it.

I made a simple segmentation of the booth in some areas. I will explain some ideas under the pictures. The overview:

- area with a kitchen set

- area with a living room and in use for improved customer talk

- quick info area for the people that not realy want have a talk but have

   interest too

- Lounge are for light flair check. Very speacial but very magnetic too

- storage room, with a desinger door for impression of coating tech

This is very raw and more for discussion then realy a layout. 

The cabinet (over all)should only symbolize that there should be a front. the originial layout (in case of an order) will be more specific, with special fronts or a harmonized colour layout and the shapes would be realy special. The shapes on the picture are standard shapes from ever lowcost supplier. Whith with a standard plate. I hope that would not go to the booth at this style, it would be a catastrophically effect on customers.

The part over the oven should symbolize some layouts for possible backgrounds. Verneered or synthetical plates from diffrent suppliers are possible for this. Its importend to get it some rough cutted (~150mm) and i recommend a turned cut. its not realy necessary but make a much better look with less working value.

The plate on the bottom furniture can be splittet with several designes or one design with one plate and a layout on the right side so that the customers can be take a look on special kind of carpentery

the box-kind furniture on the edge should be some distrecting. For example: if the kitchen would be bright wooden make this one red. This higher the interesset and give a good cut for this section to another.

### Storage Entrance ###

The entrance to the storage should be a handmade door that should show the customers the possibility that specified doors can be made too with excellent coatings. i recommend to use some hard to made color-combinations or color technics that are not realy often are so seen in carpentry. In example technic for water-drop-painting as it be used on cars and in shaded green. As better and exquisite the coating is as better the salesmans will have a change to put a point on it, and as much a special fragment of customers will come to the booth.

### Quick Info Area ###

The idea behind this is realy simple: a significant part of people on exh. shows have time to take a detailed look on each booth, or want to talk to every single salesman.

Let your folders work for you! The important part is, not to distrect or beset customers. Let the salesman take a beside look that the folders are always there and in kind a good shape and let it be. This section is for customers that maybe have interessted on the product in future but not a special project now. A direct contact with them would only have a negativ effect on this fragment of customers.

I recommend to make simple folders and not catalogues. On the pictures are 3x3 on every of the 2 stands. That makes 18 at all. For example make a folder for kitchens on low and high budgets. The trick is to keep it simple, i recommend max. 6-8 sites, better would be 3-6. i catalouge will have negativ effects on some customers of this fragment.

Another point of this design is that i tried to keep an open sight on the living room and the lounge area.

The open sight to the living room keeps a direct hearing range of possible customer discussions and no distraction of the direct customer talk. This have a good possibility that the fragment of customers that only will have a look, get direct to project customers.

the open sight to the lounge area is not given but for this is a mirror placed on the behind wall. The mirror will get to customer excited. This can get you another realy big part of fragment of customers. That kind that are already bored about the other 30 booths before the came to yours. You don't want that the customer says "you are not another than the others", but they think it, if they would or not. Destroy this thought with this and have another opportunity to get another fragment of customers.

### Living room / Adv. Customer Talk ###

This ones though. The trick on this layout is to suptile let the customer get the impression the he is sitting in "his" living room and the salesman is more a friend on visit that gives him advices. For this i recommend to get a very comfortable coach in dark leather. Don't shy the costs it will be much more repaid if you do it right.

I dont made a detailed layout how to set this scene up. i fought about a simple white floor with dark furniture and a rag on black plushy grass style, but there are alot possibilitys to make this. Maybe you put in a mute TV on the furniture on the wall. Don't put on any commercials of your company here. This would not be very good and don't show anything to a customer on this. Let it be there suptile for the scene but not more. Like a flower.

On of what realy should help is to get the storage room a IT-facility. Nothing big but something that let the salesmans get the datas what he need realy realy quick. It will kill the mood of customers realy quick if IT slow that down. Some shows have WLAN, but to get the datas from your Server anywhere can be get realy slow. A Tabletop-PC and coded Micro-WLAN in table do i great job on this. The IT should have all datas that are necessary to set-up a full order.

It's possible to create a highend-table, but i not recommend it. This let the customer think on a office and not a living room. The most people want get the work off here, keep that in mind. The table can be complex and very interessting, but it should not get to much IT on it.

The customer will be recognize and ask for the lounge area. Let your salesman prepare for some questioning. 

One of the realy important parts, is here to get a strategy how to put the datas from salesman to customer. If you choose the IT-kind be prepared to get prepared to get very easy and realy fast the datas to customer. For example E-Mail adress for sending datas later, or have a timetable on Pad for a direct after show meeting date. Don't stand up and get the Info-Folders on the Quick-info point as sales man, that looks very very unprofessional and let the customer get the impression that the booth is not set right!

If you choose hardcopy - what the most customers more like - but is not necessary. Prepare to get make a kind project map, with Information-Material of his project, the offer or order and all things that are not offer/order but maybe get realized another time. Mark it for him and let him find his information quick. Maybe you let him check-it on his own. If the map is well sorted and easy good marked it will be a great bonus point for you company. Keep in mind that you have a printer in storage and maybe a person that already sort the document map during the salesman keep the conversation with the customer. It realy makes customer nervous when the salesman vanished for minutes and would be not a good advertise for you company at all. If you want the hardcopy-methode we need to rethink about the storage entrance too. One door for looking the other for moving.

I'm scared to demonstrate this, but with this little time it was not possible to made a rendering with light effects so you can made a impression what it would be in realistic. 

The Important part on this is, that the whole area should be like a light show. The most bars are made on a theme, show that you can made a theme too. It's not realy important what is the motive, think more about that it's harmonious. For example: if you like a red theme keep it all red lighted, for this you will need to seperate the room a little and to dim the lights from other rooms and maybe cover it from the light of the hall itself. Bars are mostly impressing on dark places or in evenings.  Keep high-lighting the parts with the mostly this lights and not use the others.

If you want server (non-alcoholic-drinks) you maybe think about the space. the space is small and only for looking not for using. If you want it the layout maybe should be completely changed and forseen with more space. Keep in mind that a server with drinks from this source will be take some customers to discuss there and that can get very complicated.

I recommend to fill the bottles with fruite juice or anything that made ambient-light shine good. I realy not recommend to put real alcohol in it. If you server drinks, the salesman will be ask to server some. If the costumers drink, the salesman must drink too... i think i not have to explain that the whole thing can ruin your whole show.

A little trick can be handy: take lights in the surface above and put on some numb looking cocktail drinks with fully ground (like "cranberry" or "killin zombie" in a whisky glass) on it. If there stands drinks, people mostly dont think about taking this sits and it looks quiet impressive, if it's lighted right.
